The Role

BDG is seeking a talented, highly-motivated and enthusiastic architect to lead various design packages on a large commercial refurbishment project in London across all RIBA work stages; concept and design development, production and construction phase activities, based in our London studio.


Key requirements

on studio. Be ARB registered architect and have five+ years experience post Part-III; preferably working in an award-winning UK practice.

Be methodical, able to work independently and organise a small and highly motivated team.

Have experience in commercial refurbishment, CatA or mixed use projects.

Experience leading consultant meetings and of complex multidiscipliary design coordination.

Have excellent software skills including Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.

Be able to demonstrate a keen design eye, technical construction knowledge and have a proven track record in delivering £10m+ projects in London.

Have a good working knowledge of UK building regulation and planning process.


Preferred qualifications, skills and attitudes

A degree in Architecture

A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience.

Ability to demonstrate experience of taking projects from concept to completion.

Good time-management skills to meet multiple deadlines

Experience of coordination and scheduling.

Experience coordinating design with other consultants.

Experience in construction and bespoke detailing.

Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail 

Fluent in English - verbal and written.

Proficient using Autocad, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

A working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction methods
